Molly was born in Washington state. She was born with a congenital heart defect.
Molly had several surgeries from the time she was an infant to an adult. She even had a pacemaker installed. Molly also suffered from atrial flutter, she collapsed several times and twice resulting in needing CPR, due to the high heart rate this condition causes. Molly spent many days and nights in the hospital as well as the ICU!
While on the transplant list, her condition continued to decline rapidly. She was in desperate need of a heart. Then she received the miracle call she, her family and friends had been praying and waiting for! They had a donor match and a heart for her! Molly and her family headed to Seattle immediately!
Molly received her gift of life in 2012 at the age of 27! Since then, she has been able to travel, enjoy life and is now able to lead a healthy life and is thriving! She is also married and is very close with her donor family! Molly is a true fighter! And her story shows the true blessing of organ donation!
